We had a very productive weekend.
Started out on Friday morning where we found the mongena females and male having cornered one of the tembe lioness
They were very active and vocal until the elephant herd came through the area and the tembe lioness was able to escape while they were in the area. She spent the next 2 days lying up in some thick cover and has now started moving around as per usual so hopefully she didn’t sustain too many injuries. The next day we found the 925 male lion crossing the fisant road close to Thekwane lodge and the mongena females in some cover by the boekenhout spruit. Monday morning we found the mongena females on the prowl on the rooibank road heading back to mongena.
